Chris Scorah – Youth Worker

317509_10151052232070303_69697621_n I’m Chris, and I am the Youth Worker at Christ Church. I’m married to the wonderful Heather and Father to Lydia. I am originally from Northern Ireland and I have a strong love for mountains, beaches and beautiful scenery in general. I also enjoy playing guitar, exploring new places and I am sure the young people will tell you that I am a little obsessed with Tennis. Most importantly, I love Jesus, and I passionate about seeing young people meet him and grow in their walk with God.

Where I live, the job I do or educational prowess? In the greater scheme of things, they really matter less. They are on the outside like whether I’m tall, short, fat or thin. But who I am, my character, it all comes from within. As I finish writing, but before I leave and go. Is there really anything that you should surely know. That I have Jesus as my Saviour is all I have to say. And if the same’s not true for you, why don’t you make Him yours today.

I was born and raised in a village on the outskirts of Sheffield, I was told that my first excursion was to church. and five days after I was born the village brass band came and played to me I still like proper brass band music and a delighted hat my grandsons seem to be following the family tradition. Music and singing have always been part of my life and important to me. I went to Nottingham University and read Latin with Greek and Ancient History and then went on to work in public libraries. I met my husband, Brian, at Library college. We moved to Warminster, had three children. So there you have my life, children, church and my faith, music, ancient history and languages are the things that light my fire.
